Site surveys

A measured survey of the building, the substrate, the power and the planning position, taken before anything is drawn or priced. Available across Hertfordshire. See our guide for more detail.

What an hour on site saves

Almost every signage problem we are asked to fix started with a sign made to a drawing rather than to a building. Buildings are not square, substrates are not what they look like, and the power is rarely where you assume.

A survey takes about an hour and settles all of it: real dimensions, what the wall is actually made of, whether there is a supply and where the isolator can go, how we get access on the day, and whether the sign needs consent.

What a survey covers

Dimensions taken from the building rather than the drawing, substrate and fixing checks, power availability and isolator position, access and traffic management requirements, photographs of the elevation, and the planning designation. You get the survey information whether or not you order the sign from us.
