Hoarding graphics

Printed hoarding for development sites, specified to survive a full programme outdoors rather than a single season, and installed to the setting out drawing. See our guide for more detail.

The largest advertisement on the street

Site hoarding is often the biggest printed surface a developer will ever buy, and for the length of the build it is the scheme marketing. It also has to satisfy the highway authority, keep the public out and still look presentable in month eleven.

The specification decision is substrate and film. Anything paper faced fails within a season. Laminated cast vinyl on exterior grade ply, or direct to substrate print, lasts the programme.

Before you order

Where hoarding fronts a public highway the local authority licence carries conditions on projection, lighting and maintenance, and those conditions often specify how quickly graffiti or damage must be made good. Worth confirming before artwork is signed off rather than after.

What we need to quote

  • Total run length and panel height
  • A setting out drawing if one exists
  • How long the hoarding needs to stand
  • Whether gates, viewing panels or lighting are included
Long run of professionally installed printed development hoarding beside a British pavement, aligned architectural renders and restrained blue panels reading 'A new place to call home', construction behind.

Lower cost, shorter life. Suits short duration or internal hoarding.

Anti graffiti laminate

Allows tagging to be cleaned off rather than reprinted.

Viewing panels

Cut apertures with polycarbonate, popular on residential schemes.

Common questions

What is the best material for site hoarding graphics?

Printed vinyl laminated onto exterior grade ply, or direct to substrate print, for anything expected to last a full programme. Foamex and Correx suit short duration or internal hoarding only.

Do hoarding graphics need a licence?

Where the hoarding fronts a public highway the local authority licence carries conditions on projection, lighting and maintenance, often including how quickly damage or graffiti must be made good.

Can hoarding be cleaned rather than reprinted?

Yes, with an anti graffiti laminate specified from the start, which lets tagging be cleaned off rather than triggering a reprint.

Hoarding to dress?

Send the run length and the programme dates. We will price against the dates rather than a standard lead time.
