Sign maintenance and repairs

Lamp and driver replacement, cleaning, refacing, panel changes and reactive repairs, across single sites and managed portfolios. See our guide for more detail.

Signage is an asset, not a purchase

An illuminated sign is a fixed electrical installation with a maintenance obligation, and a half lit fascia does more damage to a business than no sign at all. Most of what we attend is an LED driver rather than the LEDs themselves.

For portfolios, the useful arrangement is a scheduled check across sites plus a reactive service for damage, rather than treating every fault as a new project with a new quotation.

Any work on the power supply is carried out to the standards set by NICEIC, the electrical contracting accreditation body.

Worth knowing

LED drivers typically fail long before the LEDs do, and a driver that has failed once will often take others with it as they age. Where we hold the original specification on file a replacement is a same visit fix; where we do not, the first visit is usually diagnosis.

What we need to quote

  • What the sign is and roughly when it was installed
  • What has gone wrong, with a photograph if possible
  • How many sites, if this is a portfolio
  • Access arrangements and any out of hours requirement

Common questions

Why has my illuminated sign stopped working?

Most often the LED driver rather than the LEDs themselves. A driver that has failed once will often take others with it as they age.

Can you maintain signs you did not make?

Yes. Where we hold the original specification a replacement is usually a same visit fix; where we do not, the first visit is normally diagnosis.

Do you offer scheduled maintenance across a portfolio?

Yes, portfolio wide inspection with a condition report, plus reactive repair for damage and vandalism, usually within the week.

Something not working?

Send a photograph and the address. Most illumination faults are diagnosed from the photograph.
