Office and workplace signage

Building identification, reception logos, wayfinding, glass manifestation and meeting room signage for offices and business parks, fitted around an occupied building.

Signage for a building people are already working in

Workplace signage is usually installed into a live building, which makes access and disruption as important as the design. Most of our office work happens in the evening or at a weekend, and the survey is as much about how we get a three metre panel through the lobby as it is about dimensions.

The scope is usually the same: identify the building from outside, get visitors from the car park to reception, brand the reception wall, meet the glazing regulations, and name the meeting rooms in a way that survives a reshuffle.

Glazing and accessibility are not optional

Full height glazing and glass doors require manifestation at two heights under Approved Document K. Accessible signage provision is governed too. Both are cheaper to design into the scheme than to retrofit after a building inspection, and we specify to them as standard.

Common questions

What signage does an office fit out need?

Usually building identification outside, wayfinding from the car park to reception, a reception logo, glass manifestation to meet Approved Document K, and meeting room and door signage.

Do glass doors legally need manifestation?

Yes. Full height glazing and glass doors require manifestation at two specified heights under Approved Document K, and a building inspector will check it. It can carry your brand pattern rather than plain frosted dots.

Can you install without disrupting the office?

Yes. Most workplace signage is installed in the evening or at a weekend, and the survey covers how a large panel gets through the lobby as much as it covers dimensions.

Fitting out or refreshing an office?

Send the floor plan and we will come back with a scheme and a schedule of signs.
